Roy Alexander turned in yet another pitching appearance with more than six strikeouts on Tuesday. He struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. He has become a key player for Orland: the team is 4-2 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 7-10 otherwise.

Even though Alexander couldn't lead Orland over Gridley, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans have some work to do to even out the 1-9 series between these two since May of 2021, but a win here would be a good start.
