The Duchesne Eagles had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They secured a 56-50 W over North Summit. For Duchesne, this counts as revenge for the 50-41 defeat North Summit walked away with the last time they faced one another on January 5th.
Despite the loss, North Summit still got an impressive performance from Trevor Richins, who scored 32 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Jake Smith was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals.
Duchesne pushed their record up to 10-7 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. As for North Summit, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Duchesne will take on Tabiona at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for North Summit, they will be playing at home against Grand County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Grand County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 14 games -- so hopefully North Summit likes a good challenge.
