The Rangely Panthers put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against De Beque as Rangely made off with a 58-33 win. Considering Rangely has won three contests by more than 24 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
It was another big night for Miah Wren, who scored 20 points along with eight steals and five rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Wren has scored at least 25% of Rangely's points. Another player making a difference was Miley Chism, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds.
De Beque's loss came despite strong showings from Ileeyah Herrera and Avery Rigsby. Herrera scored 11 points, while Rigsby scored six points along with five rebounds. Herrera set a new season high mark in points with 11.
Rangely's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. As for De Beque, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rangely will take on Y at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. De Beque and Plateau Valley will face off at 5:30 p.m. on December 13th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Plateau Valley is ranked 55th, while De Beque is ranked 76th).
