Daniel is 5-0 against Crescent since December of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Daniel Lions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Crescent Tigers at 7:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Daniel's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Crescent has been banged up by 15 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Daniel put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Pendleton 75-34 on the road. That looming 75-34 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Daniel yet this season.
Daniel got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tristyn Carrington out in front who scored 11 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Will Swann, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Even though Crescent has not done well against West-Oak recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Crescent escaped with a win against West-Oak by the margin of a single free throw, 56-55. The victory was just what Crescent needed coming off of a 48-24 loss in their prior match.
Daniel is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Crescent, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-10.
Everything came up roses for Daniel against Crescent when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 83-42 victory. Does Daniel have another victory up their sleeve, or will Crescent turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
