After a disappointing six points in their last game, Magruder made sure to put some points up on the board against Springbrook on Friday. Magruder were the clear victor by a 44-20 margin over Springbrook. Magruder were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Magruder's victory brought them up to 4-5. Springbrook are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Magruder will stay at home next week against Poolesville at 6:30 PM. Unlike Magruder, Poolesville will be limping in after taking a loss. Springbrook will be staying on the road, facing off against Sherwood. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
