With a playoff win on the line, Rosamond rose to the challenge  on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Lone Pine Golden Eagles by a score of  3-1.
 Rosamond had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-14, 25-16,  25-21.
 Merilyn Campos paced Rosamond's offense, picking up 14 kills. Campos got some help from  Kenia Sotelo Salgado and her 28 assists.  Logan Castro controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
 Lone Pine's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Yesenia Alegre, who  had 12  digs, nine  kills,  and two  blocks. Alegre has been hot for a while, having  posted eight or more  kills the last 15 times she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Violet Soto, who  had 17  digs and four  aces.
Rosamond's victory bumped their record up to 18-15-2. As for Lone Pine,  with the  loss, they broke their ten-match winning streak and moved their record to 16-12-2.
 Looking ahead, Rosamond will take on Fowler at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Lone Pine does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
