Baseball Recap: Pinellas Park Finds Home Field Redemption Against IMG Academy Navy

There's no place like home for Pinellas Park, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over the IMG Academy Navy Ascenders on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Patriots, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Pinellas Park got a great performance from Jack Inman as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over six innings pitched.

At the plate, Neil Rothrock was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Daunte Dixon, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Pinellas Park's win bumped their record up to 8-12. As for IMG Academy Navy, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 10-8.

Coming up, Pinellas Park will be playing in front of their home fans against Owensboro at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for IMG Academy Navy, they will head out to face off against Wiregrass Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Ascenders are facing the Bulls at the right time seeing as the Bulls are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
