There's no place like home for the Saucon Valley Panthers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Wednesday. They managed a 59-53 victory over Bangor on Saturday. For Saucon Valley, this counts as revenge for the 44-33 defeat the Slaters walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.
Saucon Valley's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Braden Weiss, who scored 13 points along with six assists. Constantine Donahue was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five assists and three steals.
Saucon Valley pushed their record up to 14-7 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Bangor, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season.
Saucon Valley will take on the Pirates at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Palisades will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 719th, while the Panthers are ranked 358th). As for Bangor, they will be playing at home against the Green Knights at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Pen Argyl focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Saturday.
