The Leland Comets were the 50-28 winner over the Grand Traverse Academy Mustangs when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Leland was beaten by Grand Traverse Academy 67-12 on Monday. Leland's defeat continues a unfortunate trend for the squad, making it three in a row.
Leland's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Grand Traverse Academy, their win ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Leland will square off against Onekama at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Grand Traverse Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th.
