The Marsing Huskies will square off against the Parma Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Marsing will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Marsing took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They blew past Idaho City 8-1. The Huskies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by six runs or more this season.

Trenton Seid was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over 4.2 innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Marsing is 3-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 2-5 otherwise. Seid was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Wyatt Barber, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Niko Godina, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Parma's offense. They lost 11-0 to Homedale on Friday. The Panthers have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Marsing pushed their record up to 5-6 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games. As for Parma, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Marsing has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Parma struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Marsing got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 against Parma by a conclusive 14-2 score. Will the Huskies repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
