Noxapater extended the longest winning streak in 1A Region 3 this week by beating East Oktibbeha, 48-6. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Nanih Waiya and Sebastopol played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Nanih Waiya eventually emerging with a 31-28 victory.
West Oktibbeha's dynamic duo of Von Smith and Kelsey Jefferson proved tough for Ethel to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Smith threw for 140 yards and two touchdowns and Jefferson had 68 yards receiving. Lavante Tate helped West Oktibbeha's passing attack out by catching one ball for 35 yards.
Cortez Ousley was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 24 carries, he ran for 169 yards as Pelahatchie topped the Tigers. Keldrick Sullivan also contributed to the rushing game with 117 yards on the ground.
West Oktibbeha's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Timberwolves feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Smith has thrown for 1113 yards and 18 touchdowns this season, while Tate has 18 catches for 512 yards. Tiberias Lampkin leads the league in rushing with 1236 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when West Oktibbeha takes on West Lowndes. Adam Lowrey's team is currently in second, while the Panthers are in fourth.
Noxapater took down the Titans 48-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
