Volleyball Recap: Hayden Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Hayden came into Saturday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Spring Hill Broncos by a score of 2-0 on Saturday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 on September 11th.

Hayden not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Spring Hill between 16 and 17 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-16.

Hailey Schmidtlein paced Hayden's offense, picking up nine kills. Schmidtlein got some help from Blakely Walter and her 21 assists. Schmidtlein also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Ella Foster, each putting up two.

Hayden's win bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Spring Hill, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Hayden has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Maize South on the 27th. As for Spring Hill, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Bishop Carroll on the 27th.
