The Palisades Pirates''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 27-7 defeat at the hands of Saucon Valley. Palisades was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Saucon Valley apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Saucon Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jack Robertson led the charge by picking up 179 receiving yards and a touchdown, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Robertson's longest reception was for an incredible 72 yards. Another player making a difference was Jared Rohn, who rushed for 58 yards and a touchdown.
Palisades' loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Saucon Valley, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-5.
Palisades does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Saucon Valley will head out on the road to face off against Notre Dame-Green Pond at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Notre Dame-Green Pond is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
