If the Loveland Protestant Reformed Christian Wildcats were feeling good off their 59-38 takedown of the Mile High Academy Mustangs last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Loveland Protestant Reformed Christian took a 50-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Front Range Baptist. The game was a 21-21 toss-up at halftime, but Loveland Protestant Reformed Christian couldn't quite close it out.
Front Range Baptist's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alex Prelog led the charge by dropping a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. Prelog has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Granthan, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Loveland Protestant Reformed Christian now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Front Range Baptist, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-5.
Loveland Protestant Reformed Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Front Range Baptist, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Mile High Academy at 6:30 p.m. Mile High Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 309th, while Front Range Baptist is ranked 134th).
