The Chalmette Owls entered their tilt with the West Jefferson Buccaneers with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Chalmette blew past West Jefferson, posting a 35-6 victory at home. The result was nothing new for Chalmette, who have now won six games by 21 points or more so far this season.
Chalmette got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaden Williams out in front who rushed for 40 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 36 receiving yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Couvillon, who threw for 77 yards and two touchdowns.
Chalmette's victory was their third straight at home , which pushed their record up to 9-1. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 29.67 points. As for West Jefferson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-9.
Chalmette will look to defend their home field on Friday against Ponchatoula at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Louisiana (Ponchatoula is ranked 48th, while Chalmette is ranked 59th). West Jefferson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
