The Rochester Rockets had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They wrapped up 2023 with a 56-41 victory over Marion.
Rochester got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tanner Beal out in front who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds. Those 13 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Henry Buecker, who scored 14 points.
Rochester's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Marion, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rochester and Galesburg will face off at 5:00 p.m. on December 29, 2023 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Marion, they will be playing at home against Cahokia at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cahokia is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
