The Tampa Bay Tech Titans will venture away from home to take on the Leto Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Tampa Bay Tech knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Leto likes a good challenge.
While Tampa Bay Tech didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against Freedom on Thursday as Tampa Bay Tech made off with a 15-5 win. Considering the Titans have won four matches by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Grace B made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off two hits. Those hits marked the first that she allowed this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Jaida T was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Taliyah H, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and two RBI.
Tampa Bay Tech always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .686. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 22 runs the game before, Leto was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They lost 20-0 to Sickles. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Gryphons recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
Tampa Bay Tech pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Leto, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
Monday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Tampa Bay Tech hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .517. However, it's not like Leto struggles in that department as they've averaged .356. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Tampa Bay Tech took their win against Leto when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 22-11. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tampa Bay Tech since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
