Byhalia scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took a hard 75-59 fall against the DeSoto Central Jaguars. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 191st, while the Jaguars are ranked 21st).

Byhalia's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for DeSoto Central, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-4.

Byhalia will be home for the holidays to greet New Albany at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Byhalia has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for DeSoto Central, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 67-61 victory against Memphis Home Education Association on the 14th.
