Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mitchell). They came out on top against the Hemingford Bobcats by a score of 47-38 on Thursday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Despite the loss, Hemingford saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jade Sorensen posted nine points. Another player making a difference was Bailey Sellman, who earned two points and eight rebounds.

The win got Mitchell back to even at 3-3. As for Hemingford, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

Mitchell wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 49-46 victory against Morrill on the 21st. As for Hemingford, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 72-42 loss against Leyton on the 21st.
