After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Terrell County, the Randolph-Clay Red Devils were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 57-42 win over Chattahoochee County. This was payback for Randolph-Clay, who suffered a 50-48 loss the last time these two teams met.
Leading Randolph-Clay to victory were Tyrion Smith and Je'Sus Daniels. Smith scored 13 points along with six assists and four steals, while Daniels dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Daniels hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Jaleen Gibson, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Randolph-Clay pushed their record up to 15-8 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Chattahoochee County, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Randolph-Clay will challenge the Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pelham is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Chattahoochee County, they will head out on the road to challenge the Red Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Hawkinsville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Saturday.
