The Acalanes Dons are taking a road trip to take on the Northgate Broncos at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Acalanes is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.8 runs per game this season.

Acalanes is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of Piedmont.

Esa Orman was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Northgate never let their opponents score on Monday. They put the hurt on Las Lomas with a sharp 15-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Broncos in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won five in a row.

Northgate also got a great performance from Mackenzie Hudson as she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Hudson has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Northgate let Taelyn Jriyasetapong and Addison Baxter run wild. Jriyasetapong went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double, while Baxter went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Jriyasetapong is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Stella Hanko was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Acalanes' defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Northgate, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.

Acalanes skirted past Northgate 6-5 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Do the Dons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Broncos turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
