Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Campbell's 14th in Last 15 Outings

Campbell entered their tilt with McEachern on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 62-50 win over the McEachern Indians. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 47-34 on January 9th.

Campbell's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Marlie Battle led the charge by putting up eight points along with nine boards and four steals. That's the most rebounds Battle has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Gabrielle Parish, who went 5 of 10 en route to 11 points.

Despite the defeat, McEachern saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ava Couzens went 6 for 15 on her way to 18 points in addition to five boards and four steals. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for Couzens. Exxence Hubbard was another key player, earning ten points.

Campbell has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.1 points per game. As for McEachern, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Campbell will head out to square off against Pebblebrook at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for McEachern, they are taking a road trip to take on South Cobb at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
