Southside has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Thibodaux Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Friday, Southside was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 32-27 to Sam Houston.
Meanwhile, Thibodaux unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 38-12 walloping at the hands of Destrehan. While losing is never fun, Thibodaux can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana football rankings (they are ranked 109th, while Destrehan is ranked 18th).
Although Thibodaux took the loss, they still got scores from Dominic Blanchard and Brayden Becnel.
Southside's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Thibodaux, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
