The Shasta Wolves will take on the Los Molinos Bulldogs in a tournament on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Anna Pe?a was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Ryleigh Scarborough, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Shasta always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .579. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2024.
Meanwhile, Los Molinos entered their tilt with Redding Christian on Monday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They never let the Lions get on the board and left with a 10-0 win.
Addison Jones was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Natalie Martinez, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Zoey Zdeb was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Los Molinos' victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-2-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Shasta, their record now sits at 6-10.
Friday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Shasta hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .313. However, it's not like Los Molinos struggles in that department as they've averaged .366. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
