Summit is 1-9 against Nolensville since May of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Spartans will look to defend their home field against the Knights at 5:00 p.m. Summit is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.
Summit took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They never let Franklin get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Admirals: they've now won six in a row.
Summit got a great performance from Addison Johnson as she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Paityn Robertson was a standout: she scored three runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-3. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Audrey Cathey, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Nolensville faced Brentwood in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Knights walked away with a 4-1 win over the Bruins. Winning may never get old, but the Knights sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Addi Leichty spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on seven hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Peyton Vieira, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaycee Bilbrey, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.
Summit pushed their record up to 9-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Nolensville, their victory bumped their record up to 16-3.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Summit hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Nolensville struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.7 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Summit couldn't quite finish off Nolensville in their previous meeting back in March and fell 6-4. Will the Spartans have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other softball content.
