For Manchester, this counts as revenge for the 53-48 loss the Bobcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
It was another big night for Elise Ryan, who went 7 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and 4 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaliyah Lawrence, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Manchester's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for South Windsor, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.
Manchester will be playing in front of their home fans against the Falcons at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Connecticut (Avon is ranked 78th, while the Red Hawks are ranked 68th). As for South Windsor, they will head out on the road to take on the Blue Dragons at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Middletown will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
