Basketball Recap: Midwest Central/Delavan Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Midwest Central/Delavan had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They strolled past the Riverton Hawks with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 48-32. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Danae Anderson and Britnee Walker certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Anderson dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten boards, while Walker went 5-for-11 en route to 13 points and six rebounds.

Riverton dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Midwest Central/Delavan has already played their next contest, a 47-30 loss against Tremont on the 22nd. As for Riverton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 61-41 defeat against Central A & M on the 22nd.
