The North Cobb Christian Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They strolled past Washington with points to spare, taking the game 87-71. Given North Cobb Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 99th, while Washington is ranked 380th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Gabe Bolden was his usual excellent self, scoring 27 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. Those seven steals set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Grant Robich, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
North Cobb Christian is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Washington, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
North Cobb Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Drew Charter at 7:00 p.m. on January 6th. Washington won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Therrell at 4:00 p.m. on January 6th. Hopefully Therrell focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Tuesday.
