 Meanwhile, while Homestead put up some  runs on Wednesday, the same  can't be said for Wilcox. Homestead came out on top against Wilcox by a score of  3-0.
 Like Los Altos, Homestead also got a great game from a two-way player:  Mackenzie Smith. She  didn't allow a single  earned run and  only one  hit over seven innings pitched. Smith was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with a  double and  an  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Lilly Markines was  excellent,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
 Los Altos has  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record  this season. As for Homestead, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2-1.
 Los Altos was able to grind out a solid  win over Homestead when the teams last played  back in April of 2023, winning  5-2.
