The Fullerton Indians lost against the La Habra Highlanders back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Fullerton fell to La Habra 59-54. While losing is never fun, Fullerton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 606th, while La Habra is ranked 46th).
Several Indians players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Baylor Wilks, who scored 17 points. Wilks continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Edwards, who scored 18 points.
Fullerton has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season. As for La Habra, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 18-4.
Fullerton will be playing at home against Buena Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Buena Park is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. As for La Habra, they will head out on the road to square off against Sonora at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
