Bayside Academy faced Daphne in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Admirals came out on top against the Trojans by a score of  3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  3-0  back in September.

 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bayside Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Sophie Hester, who  had seven  digs and one  block. The dominant performance also gave  Hester a new career-high in  assists (42).  Julia Savage was another key player,  getting nine  digs and four  aces.
  Makenzie Valentine and  Grace Thigpen certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss.  Valentine  had seven  aces and five  digs, while  Thigpen  had 18 assists and six  digs.
Bayside Academy has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-16 record  this season. As for Daphne,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 35-21.
 Bayside Academy has already played their next contest,  a  3-1  victory against St. Paul's Episcopal on the 22nd. Daphne does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
