Lordstown is 0-3 against St. John since January of 2023 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Lordstown Red Devils will head out on the road to challenge the St. John Fighting Herald at 6:15 p.m. Lordstown comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
Lordstown suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Monday. They had to suffer through a rough 56-4 loss at the hands of Bristol. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lordstown has scored all season.
Meanwhile, St. John scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They claimed a resounding 63-32 victory over Harding at home. The win was just what St. John needed coming off of a 63-36 defeat in their prior game.
Lordstown dropped their record down to 0-14 with that loss, which was their 16th straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 11.1 points per game. As for St. John, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.
Lordstown took a serious blow against St. John when the teams last played two weeks ago, falling 54-11. Can Lordstown avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
