The Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 57-38 bruising from Cobleskill-Richmondville. While losing is never fun, Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 305th, while Cobleskill-Richmondville is ranked 125th).
Despite the loss, Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk had strong showings from Hayden Wolfe, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and four steals, and Rae Napierski, who scored nine points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Napierski has scored all season.
Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Cobleskill-Richmondville, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk will be home for the holidays to greet Cohoes at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Cohoes has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Cobleskill-Richmondville will be home for the holidays to greet Voorheesville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Voorheesville will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
