Lincoln is on a five-game streak of home wins, while St. Raphael Academy is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Lincoln Lions will take on the St. Raphael Academy Saints at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lincoln knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten games -- so hopefully St. Raphael Academy likes a good challenge.
Lincoln can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent contest last Monday. They breezed by Middletown at home to the tune of 81-47. Given Lincoln's advantage in MaxPreps' Rhode Island basketball rankings (they are ranked second, while Middletown is ranked 29th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lincoln's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Joshua Bergeron led the charge by scoring 22 points. Camden Dichiara was another key contributor, scoring 21 points.
Meanwhile, even though Mt. Hope scored an imposing 59 points on Monday, St. Raphael Academy still came out on top. St. Raphael Academy took down Mt. Hope 77-59.
Lincoln's win bumped their record up to 10-0. As for St. Raphael Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 11-1.
Lincoln came up short against St. Raphael Academy when the teams last played back in March of 2023, falling 51-46. Can Lincoln avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
