The Edna Cowboys entered their tilt with the La Grange Leopards with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Edna walked away with a 56-45 victory over La Grange on Wednesday.
La Grange's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Victoria Harold, who scored six points along with 14 rebounds. Those 14 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Cara Homer, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Edna's win bumped their record up to 16-4. As for La Grange, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-7.
Edna will head out on the road to face off against Industrial at 6:15 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Industrial will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 980th, while Edna is ranked 364th). La Grange will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Columbus at 4:00 p.m. on December 27th.
