The Llano Yellowjackets waltzed into their matchup on Friday with three straight wins but they left with four. They were the clear victor by a 51-30 margin over Brady. Given Llano's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 422nd, while Brady is ranked 1057th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Llano got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Alex Kachura out in front who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Fitz Kennedy, who scored 12 points.
Llano has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 17 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. As for Brady, their loss dropped their record down to 12-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Llano will challenge Ingram Moore at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ingram Moore is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Brady, they will head out on the road to face off against Blanco at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
