The South Fork Cubs will take on the Eureka Loggers at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
South Fork came out on top against Fort Bragg on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run second inning. The Cubs were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Timberwolves. The Cubs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by eight runs or more this season.
Leila Coleman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. Coleman was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with three stolen bases and one run.

South Fork always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .541. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fort Bragg only posted an OBP of .360.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eureka). They walked away with a 6-2 win over University Prep last Saturday.
Mackenze Wolff spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Macy Secor, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Megan Secor, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Eureka's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for South Fork, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
Everything went South Fork's way against Eureka in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as South Fork made off with an 18-2 victory. Will the Cubs repeat their success, or do the Loggers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
