Somerset and Owensboro Catholic squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Somerset had to settle for second. They took a 27-19 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Aces. The Briar Jumpers' defeat signaled the end of their 11-game winning streak.

Somerset's loss dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Owensboro Catholic, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

Somerset does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Owensboro Catholic, they will challenge Lexington Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Aces will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31 points in their last eight contests.
