Lindsay is 1-7 against Strathmore since November of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Lindsay Cardinals will be playing at home against the Strathmore Spartans at 7:15 p.m. Strathmore took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Lindsay, who comes in off a win.
Lindsay put the finishing touches on their fourth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They put the hurt on Granite Hills with a sharp 35-14 victory.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lindsay to victory, but perhaps none more so than Joseph Ceballos, who rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown. Ceballos really tore up the turf during one magnificent 72-yard run. Nick Masiel made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Lindsay's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Jose Fernandez and his two sacks.
Meanwhile, Strathmore was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 20-14 to Corcoran.
Lindsay's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Strathmore, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
Lindsay was taken down by Strathmore 49-20 when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Thankfully for Lindsay, Jaime Arredondo (who rushed for 136 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
