The JC Bermudez Doral Thunder will head out on the road to challenge the Columbus Explorers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (JC Bermudez Doral 4.1, Columbus 1.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
On Saturday, JC Bermudez Doral sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Marathon. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Thunder.

Cristian Sanchez looked comfortable as he tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. JC Bermudez Doral is undefeated when Sanchez allowsone or fewer hits, but 3-4 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Daniel Rivaflecha was excellent, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-1. He also brought in an RBI, marking his first of the season.
Meanwhile, Columbus came tearing into Thursday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They didn't even let the Raiders on the board, marking their second-straight 10-0 shutout. Give the Explorers' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.
Michael Say tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, Columbus let Maximus Alvarez and Alec Cruz run wild. Alvarez scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2, while Cruz scored two runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave Cruz a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Fernandez, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
Columbus pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for JC Bermudez Doral, their record is now 6-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. JC Bermudez Doral has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Columbus struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
