Starks made up a huge gap compared to their last game against LaGrange, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Starks Panthers put the hurt on the LaGrange Gators with a sharp 16-9 victory on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Gators last Wednesday, they had to take a 25-10 defeat.

Kaison Howard made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up eight earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. Howard was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Braden Holloway, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Ethan O'Banion was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

The win made it two in a row for Starks and bumps their season record up to 2-6. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 12.5 runs. As for LaGrange, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.

Coming up, Starks will head out on the road to face off against Hathaway at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. LaGrange has already played their next matchup (against Reeves), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
