The Kennedy Crusaders had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They blew past Hancock 60-35. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Kennedy also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Leading Kennedy to victory were Jovani Naverette and Joseph Dahl. Naverette scored 15 points along with seven rebounds, while Dahl scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. It was the first time this season that Naverette scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Vincent Carrero, who scored four points along with nine assists and five rebounds.
Kennedy is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-13 record this season. As for Hancock, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-24.
Kennedy will take on Shepard at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hancock, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Reavis at 5:00 p.m. Hancock is facing Reavis at the right time seeing as Reavis is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
