LEAP Academy put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Lindenwold Lions 19-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lancers also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.
A Arroyo made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Arroyo was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, LEAP Academy got a massive performance out of C Murray, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-5. S Fortuna was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
LEAP Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .440. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lindenwold only posted a batting average of .308.
LEAP Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Lindenwold, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. LEAP Academy will head out to challenge Mastery at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lindenwold, they will challenge Haddonfield at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
