Even if they lost, Howells-Dodge's defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. Nathan Tomcak was especially locked on to St. Mary's QB and sacked him twice. Tomcak also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with seven.
Gage Hedstrom continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for St. Mary's, rushing for 328 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 13.1 yards per carry, and also throwing for 120 yards and a pair of TDs. Those 328 rushing yards gave Hedstrom a new career-high. Ben Barlow was another key player, picking up 93 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
