The Ridgeview Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 14th straight defeat. They had to suffer through a rough 67-32 loss at the hands of Oakleaf. While losing is never fun, Ridgeview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 705th, while the Knights are ranked 104th).
When it comes to explaining why Ridgeview lost, one person who can't be blamed is Deidrick Parsons. Despite the final result, he scored 20 points along with six rebounds.
Ridgeview dropped their record down to 2-23 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Oakleaf, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-5.
Ridgeview will take on the Blue Devils at TBD on Tuesday. As for Oakleaf, they will be playing at home against the Senators at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
