Calhoun/Brussels simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Heyworth 42-14 on the road. The result was nothing new for Calhoun/Brussels, who have now won seven matchups by 28 points or more so far this season.
Calhoun/Brussels' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chris Stanley, who rushed for 126 yards and a touchdown on only six carries. Stanley was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 59 yards. Conner Longnecker also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Calhoun/Brussels' win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-3. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 37.33 points. As for Heyworth, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-3.
Calhoun/Brussels will take on Camp Point Central at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Camp Point Central knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight games -- so hopefully Calhoun/Brussels likes a good challenge. Heyworth does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
