Even though the Shawnee Mission East Lancers have not done well against the Olathe North Eagles recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Shawnee Mission East came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 39-29. The win made it back-to-back wins for Shawnee Mission East.
Despite the loss, Olathe North still got an impressive performance from Allie Workman, who scored ten points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Asia Lee, who scored 11 points.
Olathe North struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Shawnee Mission East's victory bumped their record up to 4-5-1. As for Olathe North, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shawnee Mission East will take on the Hawks at TBD on Tuesday. Olathe East will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. As for Olathe North, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Vikings at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Shawnee Mission West is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
