They pulled ahead with a 37-36 photo finish over Springwood. That's another feather in the cap for Lee-Scott Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Lee-Scott Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Madison Davis, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and three steals. Davis has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 12 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Clarke Ivatt, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Lee-Scott Academy's win bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Springwood, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-5.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Glenwood the next time they take the court. Springwood will host Glenwood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Lee-Scott Academy will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
