Peetz was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They fell  50-39 to the Weldon Valley Warriors. Peetz's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Alexis Gentry, who  posted nine points and eight  boards. That's the most  rebounds  Gentry has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of  Rylee Raffelson, who  dropped  a double-double with 11  points and ten  boards.
 Even though they lost, Peetz was working as a unit and  finished the game with ten  assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Weldon Valley only one  assist.
  Annie Onufrak was  her usual excellent self,  going 8-for-13  to rack up 20 points in addition to seven  rebounds and five  steals for Weldon Valley. Onufrak continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Jordan Iungerich, who  had four  points along with nine  boards and eight  steals.
Peetz's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Weldon Valley, the  victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-11.
 Looking ahead, Peetz will take on Lone Star at 11:00  a.m.  on Monday. As for Weldon Valley, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  contest,  a  60-43  loss against Prairie on the 22nd.
