Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Bernard). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Bosco Tech Tigers 48-8. The win continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won five in a row.

St. Bernard's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gary Ferguson, who threw for 162 yards and three TDs while completing 80% of his passes, and also rushed for 34 yards. The Vikings are undefeated when Ferguson posts three or more passing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise. Jayden Armstrong was in the mix as well, providing St. Bernard with two touchdowns.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for St. Bernard, adding 12 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Ferguson, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

St. Bernard's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Bosco Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Bernard will challenge Vasquez at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs' defense has only allowed 11.3 points per game this season, so the Vikings' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Bosco Tech, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Mary Star of the Sea at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
